What's up homies? Emily and I just celebrated our one year anniversary and we went to a semi-famous mom and pops restaurant called Big Judds. It's pretty much out in the middle of nowhere but it's a great place with some delicious burgers, french fries and ice cream. There's always lots of country people wearing their camo or whatever, and also a lot of students. If you come visit Rexburg, you have to hit that place up.
That's basically all we did for our anniversary. We've been pretty busy with school. Emily is working for a couple of her professors and helps to grade papers. Both classes are in the humanities department as that is what her major is. They're called Beauty and Creativity (it's about art or something) and the other is called Developing World. This is her second to last semester, and she has senioritis and hates school but loves it oh so much at the same time.
I'm working as a web guy for the University and it's one of the more enjoyable jobs I've had. I like it a lot because I feel like I get paid to learn. I learn so much better by doing than by sitting in a classroom. I really hate school, and I have specific reasons and opinions about it, but that's a story for another day.
Gosh, aren't blogs fun? What else should I write about?
We just got about a months worth of food storage for a good deal. It's freeze dried food like lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs, granola, oatmeal and stuff like that. I know the LDS church counsels it's members to have food storage, but I'm also keenly aware of the fact that we're all dependent on electricity, oil, food trucks, other people growing food for us, and none of those things are fail proof. So now we have food storage. Yaaay!
Typically in blogs, you're supposed to post cute pictures of your kids, but since we don't have any, we're not having kids in the near future, we don't have any such pictures. Instead, I'm going to google pictures of kittens and cute fuzzy things. Enjoy!
I'm also spending much of my time taking investing classes, and that's the kind of education I like. If you know what you're doing you can make money when the market is going down, when the market is going sideways, and when the market is going up.
Lately I've been doing trades which allow me to make money when the market is going down. I could talk about this stuff all day long, but I just wanted to give you a taste of what I've been doing with my time. I want to someday be a professional trader. Whoops, I spilled the beans, it was supposed to be a secret.
Next time I'm going to have Emily write the blog, so you can read more about her.
